Center of the Square Summer Camp

Are you looking for Poughkeepsie's best Summer Camp?  Look no further.  The Center of the Square , a non-profit organization, has what you are looking for.  

The Summer Camp is a six week program that serves approximately 60 children from the Poughkeepsie area.  The children are in grades 1-5.   Fun and educational activities are planned during the session.  "Theme" weeks give the children something exciting to look forward to each week.  Partnerships with other members of the Poughkeepsie community, including a horse farm and an arts center add to the experiences of the campers.  The camp operates with a full day program and aftercare is available to accomodate the schedules of working parents.

This summer's camp runs from July 6 to August 14, 

 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Conocer: ESL in the Kitchen

This program uses an innovative approach to teach English through cooking.   The classes are offered two nights per week in the kitchen and community room of Christ Episcopal Church.

There is also a teacher for the children of the parents in the ESL class.  This allows parents of young children to attend the class while their children meet in an on-site classroom.
